The Southwest Museum of the American Indian has four major
halls dedicated to the Peoples of California, the Great Plains, the Northwest
Coast, and the Southwest.
Junior Docent Tours
Days: Wednesday and Friday
Times: 11:15 am
Maximum Number: 65 students per hour
Cost: FREE
Junior Docents tour the People of California Hall, the People of the Northwest Coast Hall, and the Ethnobotanical Gardens only.
Self-Guided Visit
Days: Tuesday through Friday
Times: 12:15 pm
Maximum Number: 65 students per hour
Cost: $1 per person
Teachers who wish additional time in the museum must reserve a self-guided visit.
To best prepare for this activity, take advantage of a complimentary teacher preview visit.
“DigIt!”

Cost: $2 per student
“DigIt!” is a science-based archaeology program. Students will get dirty during this hands-on activity.
“DigIt!” requires a great deal of in-class teacher preparation. This outdoor activity is weather dependent.
