Years of consecutive Autry National Center membership:

I just rejoined this last year. I’ve been a member off and on for many years.

Tell us about your first exposure to the Autry.

I worked as a free-lance photographer for the Autry. I’ve done art for several posters here. After working for the Autry I have returned to the museum as a visitor many times.

Why did you become a member?

After working for the museum in the early 90s I was inspired to join.

What do you enjoy most about your Autry membership?

My favorite part of being a member is seeing the high level of creativity and uniqueness of the exhibits and events.

What was your favorite exhibition at the Autry?

My favorite exhibits were the George Catlin and Audubon exhibits.

What is your most memorable Autry experience?

I loved attending benefits when all the old cowboy stars were still alive. Being part of the museum, I had the opportunity to meet Gene Autry, Dale Evans, Roy Rogers, and many more.

What types of exhibitions would you like to see the Autry present?

More of the same! There has never been a bad one. New visitors to the museum will be impressed.

What does the Autry mission mean to you?

At the museum people can learn beyond their pre-conceived notions of history by studying the amazing art and artifacts. The museum helps expand everyone’s knowledge and understanding of the history of the West, its various cultures, and the Native people that have and do occupy this region.
